Si tienes preguntas, escríbenos a soporte@serviciliopr.com.

Si bloqueas a alguien, a quién y cuándo.

No vendemos tu información personal.

Cuánto tiempo la guardamos

Guardamos tu información mientras tengas tu cuenta.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 4, 2026

ServiCilio is an app that connects clients with handymen in Puerto Rico. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. If you have questions, email us at soporte@serviciliopr.com.

Information we collect

  • Your account: email address, password, name, account type (client or handyman) and language. Your password is stored securely by our authentication provider; we can't see it.
  • Your profile: a photo, if you choose to add one. If you're a handyman, also your trades, towns, portfolio, certifications (the photos or documents you upload), links to your Instagram or Facebook and your company name and website if you add them, the services you offer (name, trade, description and “from” price) and your plan status.
  • Jobs and bids: what you post in a job (title, description, photos, address, and dates and times), bids (price and note), earlier versions of a bid when it's edited or sent again, the reason a client gives for turning down a bid and anything they write with it, cancellations and each job's history. If you request a job with Hire on a handyman's service, we also keep which service it came from.
  • Monthly bids: if you're a handyman, which jobs you bid on and when, to apply the free plan's monthly bid limit.
  • Availability: if you're a handyman, the days you mark as unavailable in your Schedule.
  • Pro plan and payments: if you're a handyman and subscribe to Pro, the payment is processed by Stripe on its own page: your card and billing details go directly to Stripe, and we don't see or store them. We give Stripe your email address and an identifier for your account. We keep your Stripe customer identifier, your subscription's status and dates, and a history of how and until when you have Pro (paid, promotion, invitation or granted by our team).
  • Handyman invitations: your invite code, who invited you if you used a code, and the invitation rewards you earned.
  • Messages: the text and photos you send in chats, and when you last opened each chat, to show your unread messages.
  • AI job assistant: if you use “What do you need done?”, what you type (including your answer if the assistant asks you a question) and the photo you add are sent to Google (Gemini) to prepare a draft of your job, which you review before posting. The first time, we ask your permission and keep when you gave it. We don't keep that text or photo unless you post the job; we only keep when you used the assistant, to limit how often it's used each day. For now we use Gemini's free service, so Google may use what you send to improve its products, and its reviewers may read it; don't include sensitive information. If you report something the assistant wrote, we email our team what the AI wrote, the reason, your note, your account identifier and, if you report it from the assistant screen, what you asked for.
  • Camera: if you choose “Take photo”, the app opens your phone’s camera. Only the photos you add are uploaded.
  • Reviews: the ratings and comments you write.
  • Saved handymen: if you're a client, the handymen you save to your list.
  • Notifications: an identifier for your phone so we can send you notifications, if you allow them, and the notifications we send you.
  • Community Rules: when you accept the Community Rules and confirm you're 18 or older, which version, when, and from which screen and app version.
  • Reports and blocks: if you report something, what you reported, the reason, your note and a copy of the reported content as it was at that moment. If you report a conversation, that copy includes its latest messages, yours and the other person's. If you block someone, who and when.
  • Sign-ins and technical logs: for each signed-in session, our authentication provider keeps when it started and was last used, your IP address and the type of device or browser. Our hosting provider also keeps logs of requests to our servers, for security and to keep the service running. When you open the app, it asks Expo whether there's an update and sends it your phone type, the app version and a random identifier for the installation.
  • Crash reports: if the app crashes or hits an error, a report of what went wrong in the code, the app version, and your phone's model and system version. It isn't linked to your account and doesn't include your messages or other content.

We don't collect your device's location or your contacts, and we don't store card details. The app doesn't show ads and doesn't use third-party analytics tools; Sentry only receives crash and error reports. This website doesn't use cookies or trackers; its hosting provider may keep technical logs of visits.

How we use it

  • To run the app: show jobs, bids, profiles and chats, connect clients with handymen, and let you search for handymen by name, company, trade or service in Browse.
  • To send you account emails (confirmation and password changes) and notifications about your jobs, bids and messages.
  • To manage your plan: your Pro subscription, Pro days from promotions and invitations, and a notice before a promotion ends. Pro handymen appear first in Browse and can show more services on their profile.
  • To keep the app secure and prevent abuse.
  • To enforce our Community Rules: our team reviews every report, and we may remove content or suspend accounts that break them. Report alerts are emailed to our team with only the type of report and its reason.
  • To apply blocks: when you block someone, neither of you can contact the other, and new bids, invitations and job alerts between you stop.
  • To help you write a job with the AI assistant, if you use it.
  • To find and fix crashes and errors.
  • To answer your questions and requests.

Who can see your information

  • Other users see your public profile: name, photo and ratings. For handymen, also their professional details, such as trades, towns, portfolio and services with their prices, their company name, and the social and website links they add.
  • Handymen who can see a job see its title, description, photos, trade, town and the client's preferred dates. Only the client and the hired handyman see the address.
  • Chats are visible only to the two people in the conversation. No one else knows when you open a chat: the app doesn't show read receipts.
  • If a client turns down your bid, you see the reason and anything they wrote. Earlier versions of a bid are visible only to our team.
  • Reviews are published once both people have reviewed each other, or 7 days after the job is completed, and show only the reviewer's first name.
  • The days you mark as unavailable are visible only to clients who hired you for a job in progress, when they propose a date.
  • If you invite other handymen, you only see how many invitations are pending and how many rewards you earned. No one else sees who invited whom, except our team.
  • Only you can see your saved handymen and the people you've blocked.
  • Only our team sees reports. We don't tell anyone who reported them, and we don't notify someone when you block them.

Service providers

We use providers that store and process information on our behalf, only to provide their service (except for Google, as explained above, while we use Gemini's free service): Supabase (database, authentication, file storage and server functions), Resend (to send your account emails, such as sign-up confirmation and password changes, and report and payment-problem alerts to our team), Expo (to deliver app updates and, together with Apple's and Google's notification services, notifications), Sentry (crash and error reports), Stripe (Pro payments and subscriptions), Google (Gemini, for the AI job assistant), Cloudflare (our domain, forwarding the emails you send us, and the Pro subscription and team pages) and GitHub Pages (for this website). We don't sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you have an account. Also:

  • Chats are deleted 90 days after the job ends, along with when you opened each one.
  • Earlier versions of a bid are kept while the bid exists, and the record of your monthly bids while you have your account.
  • The record of an account deletion request is deleted 30 days after it's completed.
  • Reports are deleted 180 days after we handle them, unless we need to keep one, and the reported content, longer for a serious case, such as a threat or a crime, or because the law requires it (for example, child sexual abuse material is reported to the authorities and kept for one year, along with the details of the account that posted it).
  • A block lasts until you lift it or one of you deletes their account.
  • We keep a short record of each moderation action (what was done and when), without the reported content, as long as needed to enforce our rules and handle disputes.
  • Session records are removed when you sign out of that session or delete your account.
  • Your subscription details, Pro history, availability and invitations are kept while you have your account. If another handyman invited you and you delete your account, they keep only the record of their reward, without your information. Stripe keeps its own payment records under its legal obligations and its privacy policy.
  • The record of when you used the AI assistant is deleted after 2 days.
  • To limit abuse, we keep when you posted a job or started a chat for about 2 days, even if you delete it.
  • Crash reports are deleted automatically within 90 days.
  • Technical logs and backup copies may remain for a limited period under our service providers' retention practices.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app, under Profile → Settings → Delete Account, or request it without the app. Your profile, login and what you posted are deleted, with these exceptions: if you're a client, for jobs where you hired someone, that person keeps a basic record (trade, town, dates, status and price) without a title, description, address, photos or your name; if you're a handyman, for jobs you were hired for, the client keeps your bid's price, status and dates, without your note or name. If you're a client, for jobs where you hired someone, the handymen whose bids you turned down also keep the reason and anything you wrote. Those records are deleted once neither the client nor any handyman who bid on or messaged about that job still has an account. The other person also keeps their copy of your chats, including photos you sent, where you appear as “Former user”, until the chat is deleted 90 days after the job ends. Reports that involve you stay with our team, no longer linked to your account, until they're deleted as described above. If you have a Pro subscription, we cancel it before deleting your account, so you aren't charged again. Details and steps on Delete your account.

Your choices

  • You can edit your profile and change the language in the app.
  • You can turn off notifications in your phone's settings.
  • If you're a handyman, you can cancel your Pro subscription at any time under Profile → Settings → Manage subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
  • You can remove chats from your list and delete your account.
  • You can report a profile, service, job, conversation, review or bid, and block someone from their profile or a chat. You can unblock them under Profile → Settings → Blocked users.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, such as encrypted connections and rules that limit who can see each piece of data. No system is 100% secure.

Minors

ServiCilio is for adults only (18 or older). We don't allow accounts for minors, and if we learn of one, we delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date above.
